GetClinic does not itself provide flights, hotels, airport transfers, local transportation or healthcare-tourism packages. Where any of those appear in a clinic's offer, the responsible clinic or third-party provider must be identified in that offer. Everything else about the trip is yours to arrange.
Read your clinic's offer for what is included
What is included in your treatment is set out in your clinic's own written offer, and it differs from clinic to clinic. The offer must identify the material transaction information that applies to you, including the treatment, the price or estimate, the deposit, the balance or how it is calculated, the material inclusions, the material exclusions, the validity period, and the cancellation and no-show terms.
That document, not this page and not any marketing summary, is the statement of what you are buying. If it does not name a hotel, a transfer or a companion arrangement, assume the clinic is not providing one, and ask before you assume anything else. If it does name one, check who the offer identifies as responsible for it, because that party's own terms will apply to that part of the trip.
Who provides what
GetClinic maintaining the booking record, transmitting messages or displaying a clinic's package does not make GetClinic the supplier of any travel or logistics service in it.
If the booking is cancelled, your own bookings are still yours
Flights, hotels, transportation, visas, insurance, meals, companion expenses and lost income that you buy independently are not refundable by GetClinic if a treatment booking is cancelled. GetClinic never received that money and cannot return it. Any refund of those costs depends on the terms of the airline, hotel or provider you bought them from.
Because international treatment can create financial risks that ordinary policies do not deal with, the Terms suggest you independently consider appropriate travel insurance, health insurance, medical travel insurance, and insurance for complications and for cancellation before you commit. Read what a policy actually says about a cancelled or postponed medical appointment before you rely on it.
What happens to a deposit you have already paid to a clinic is a separate question with its own rules. See cancellation and refunds.
Bringing someone with you
Nothing on GetClinic promises a companion discount, a companion rate or a second bed, and no such thing is standard. If a companion arrangement matters to you, ask the clinic before you book and check that the answer appears in the written offer.
For video appointments, you may allow a family member, companion, interpreter or legally authorised representative to take part where the clinic permits it and applicable law allows. You are responsible for making sure anyone you invite is authorised to hear what you choose to discuss. Video consultations explains how those sessions work, and language settings and interpreters explains who is responsible for interpretation.
Your companion's flights, accommodation and expenses are theirs or yours, on the same footing as your own.
Before you commit to dates
Book refundable or flexible travel where you can, and treat the clinic's appointment as the fixed point that everything else moves around. Confirm the appointment and read the offer's cancellation terms before you buy a flight, not after.
If a clinic asks you to pay a booking deposit outside the payment route shown at checkout, contact GetClinic before you pay. See paying safely.
This is general information about how GetClinic works, not medical advice. GetClinic is a technology marketplace; the clinic you choose provides your healthcare and is responsible for it, and only its qualified healthcare professionals can decide what treatment is right for you.
