Infection
Risk under 2% with antibiotic prophylaxis. Signs: fever, increasing redness, discharge.
Hydrocele formation
Fluid accumulation around the testicle. May require further surgery if persistent.
Testicular atrophy
Decreased size of testicle due to disrupted blood flow. Rare complication.
Recurrence of varicocele
Varicocele may redevelop if all affected veins are not properly ligated.
