If you reschedule at least 72 hours before your scheduled treatment start, you choose what happens to the unused deposit: keep it on the new date, or cancel and take it back in full. GetClinic charges no fee for rescheduling.
Inside 72 hours the position changes, and it changes again if the clinic is the one asking to move. Each case is set out below and in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How the 72 hours is measured
The 72 hours runs backwards from your scheduled treatment start time, in the local time of the facility where the treatment is booked, not your own time zone. A request recorded at exactly 72 hours before the start still qualifies for the full amount back. Only later than that falls into the late-cancellation tier.
That timing rule is the same one used for cancellation. See cancellation and refunds for the full schedule.
Rescheduling at least 72 hours ahead
You have two options and the choice is yours:
- move to a new date and carry the unused deposit across to it, or
- cancel instead, and take the unused deposit back in full
Neither option costs you a rescheduling fee from GetClinic.
Rescheduling inside 72 hours
Inside the 72 hours the clinic may transfer your unused deposit to the new date, but it does so voluntarily. It is not obliged to.
If the clinic does not transfer it, the late-cancellation rule applies instead. Under that rule a clinic may retain only a cancellation charge that was disclosed to you before you paid, is lawful, is reasonable and proportionate to genuine costs it cannot recover, and does not exceed the deposit. Anything above that is refunded. If no such charge was disclosed before you paid, nothing may be retained.
If the clinic asks to reschedule
If the clinic is the one asking to move your treatment, you may take a full refund of the unused deposit regardless of the 72-hour window. You do not lose that right because the request came late.
You can of course accept the new date instead. That is a choice, not an obligation.
If the price, scope, date or surgeon changes
A change to the price, the scope of treatment, the date or the treating physician has to be disclosed to you and accepted by you before it binds you. You are entitled to see what has changed and to decide.
You will not be treated as a no-show because you declined a change to your booking that you did not agree to. If you decline a change and the booking does not go ahead, that is a cancellation on the normal rules, not a no-show.
Moving to a different clinic is not a reschedule
A deposit applies only to the clinic booking it was paid for. It does not follow you to another clinic.
Changing clinic is therefore a cancellation of the first booking plus a new booking with the second one, and the cancellation is treated on its own merits under the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Read clinics that aren't on GetClinic if the clinic you are moving to is not on the marketplace.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed
A new date depends on the clinic having availability and on your treatment still being medically suitable. Neither of those is GetClinic's to promise.
The clinic decides both. GetClinic is a technology marketplace. The clinic you choose provides your healthcare and is responsible for it. This is general information about how GetClinic works, not medical advice. Only the clinic's qualified healthcare professionals can decide what treatment is right for you.
