Time off work and help at home. Ask the clinic's surgeon what your recovery is likely to require, then price the working days you will lose. This is money even when nobody invoices you for it.
Travel back for a revision. BAPRAS warns that returning to see your surgeon "could add hundreds of pounds as well as involve significant time away from work". A revision commitment you cannot afford to travel for is worth less than it looks on paper.
Treatment at home if something goes wrong. BAPRAS is direct about this: the NHS "will always look after you in the event of a life threatening emergency" but "will usually refuse treatment for less serious complications or bad outcomes following cosmetic surgery".
