GetClinic patient-facing websites, applications and marketplace services

1. Scope of This Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to patient-facing digital services controlled by GetClinic, Inc. ("GetClinic"), including GetClinic's patient website, patient web experience, patient mobile applications, patient account and portal features, marketplace discovery, messaging, document, booking, payment-interface and meeting/consultation technology.

This Statement is a public accessibility disclosure and service commitment. It is not a substitute for the Patient Marketplace Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Health Data Privacy & Sharing Notice, Teleconsultation & Meeting Platform Terms, Clinic healthcare terms, or transaction-specific documents.

Clinic websites, Clinic premises, Clinic medical services, app stores, payment providers, maps, identity-verification providers, video/communications vendors and other external services may be controlled by separate organizations. Where an external component is necessary to a GetClinic-controlled workflow, GetClinic will use reasonable efforts to select, configure and support accessible options and to provide a reasonable alternative when practicable.

2. Our Accessibility Approach

GetClinic's primary technical accessibility target for patient-facing digital content and functionality is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is organized around content being perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

Where applicable to a particular service, market or user, GetClinic also considers mandatory accessibility and non-discrimination requirements, including the European Accessibility Act and applicable national implementing laws, United States disability-access requirements, the UK Equality Act, and other applicable accessibility or equality laws. This Statement does not reduce any non-waivable right or remedy.

Accessibility is an ongoing product and operational requirement rather than a one-time certification. New features, redesigns, third-party integrations and content changes can introduce barriers, so accessibility status and this Statement must be reviewed as the service changes.

3. Current Assessment and Conformance Status

GetClinic is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA across its patient-facing digital services. GetClinic does not make a blanket representation that every patient-facing page, workflow, mobile-app screen, document, embedded component or item of Clinic-supplied content fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The current status is NOT YET FULLY ASSESSED. Where formal testing has not covered a surface, GetClinic treats the status as unknown/not fully assessed rather than assuming compliance.

Conformance claimNONE - target is WCAG 2.2 AA; full conformance is not claimed

4. Known Limitations and Areas Not Yet Fully Assessed

Because a comprehensive audit has not yet been completed, GetClinic cannot yet publish a complete and reliable list of every accessibility barrier across every patient-facing surface. The absence of a listed limitation therefore does not mean the feature has been proven accessible.

Areas requiring separate assessment may include new or materially changed website/app workflows, embedded third-party components, audiovisual/meeting technology, payment or identity components, and Clinic-supplied documents or media. A specific barrier identified through testing or Patient feedback should be recorded, prioritized and reflected in this section or the applicable remediation record when material.

GetClinic will update this section when testing establishes specific known limitations, affected surfaces, available workarounds and remediation status.

5. Accessibility Features We Target

  • Keyboard access to interactive controls and a visible, logical focus order where keyboard interaction is relevant.
  • Screen-reader-compatible structure, labels, names, roles and material status/error messaging.
  • Text resizing, browser zoom and responsive reflow without unnecessary loss of content or functionality.
  • Sufficient contrast and avoidance of color as the only way to communicate material information.
  • Clear headings, instructions, link purpose, form labels, required-field identification and understandable validation errors.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful non-text content where GetClinic controls the content.
  • Controls for motion, flashing, time limits and other interaction patterns where required by applicable accessibility standards.
  • Touch targets and mobile interactions designed to reduce unnecessary precision requirements.
  • Captions, transcripts or other accessible alternatives for GetClinic-controlled prerecorded audiovisual content where required.
  • Accessible authentication, booking, payment, cancellation, refund, complaint, privacy and account-security workflows to the extent GetClinic controls them.
  • Compatibility with commonly used browsers, operating-system accessibility settings and assistive technologies to the extent reasonably testable.

6. Patient-Clinic Meetings and Consultations

GetClinic's meeting infrastructure may be used for free/non-paid Patient-Clinic communication as well as paid or unpaid medical teleconsultations. Accessibility needs can therefore arise in both administrative and clinical Sessions.

If you need a reasonable technical adjustment for a GetClinic-hosted or GetClinic-facilitated meeting - for example, a different communication method, additional time to join, keyboard-compatible controls, captioning where available, or an alternative to video - tell GetClinic or the Clinic as early as reasonably practicable.

GetClinic provides meeting infrastructure; the independent Clinic or healthcare professional provides any healthcare. The Clinic remains responsible for legally required clinical communication accommodations, accessible informed consent, medical interpreters, accessible healthcare facilities and other provider-side accommodations. GetClinic may help relay an accessibility request but does not become the healthcare provider by doing so.

7. Documents, Clinic Content and Third-Party Components

Some content displayed through GetClinic is supplied by independent Clinics or third parties, including Clinic photographs, videos, treatment documents, medical forms, PDFs, maps, payment interfaces and meeting components.

These items may not always have the same assessed accessibility status as GetClinic-controlled interface content. GetClinic may request corrections, replace inaccessible GetClinic-controlled content, improve how third-party content is presented, or provide an alternative format where reasonably practicable.

If an inaccessible document or item contains information you need to understand a Booking, payment, refund, Clinic Offer, consent choice or other material Patient decision, contact us before relying on or accepting the information.

8. Alternative Access and Deemed-Timely Requests

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from completing a material GetClinic-controlled task, GetClinic will provide reasonable alternative access or assistance where reasonably practicable. This may include an alternative digital format, support-assisted processing, an accessible communication route, or another method that preserves the substance of the available GetClinic workflow.

Deemed-timely rule. If an accessibility barrier prevents you from using the ordinary GetClinic interface and you clearly submit a cancellation, refund request, complaint, privacy or consumer-health-data rights request, Booking reconfirmation, dispute notice or other deadline-sensitive GetClinic action through [email protected] or another accessible route GetClinic makes available, the action will be treated as submitted at the time GetClinic first receives that clear request through the alternative route. You do not need to provide a medical diagnosis to obtain this treatment.

A GetClinic accessibility barrier will not, by itself, move an otherwise timely Patient cancellation into a less favorable cancellation tier, cause an otherwise timely reconfirmation to be treated as late, or cause an otherwise timely GetClinic complaint or rights request to miss its applicable deadline. GetClinic will record the receipt timestamp and route the request to the relevant workflow.

The request must reasonably identify the action you want GetClinic to take and, where necessary, the relevant Booking/account so it can be processed. This rule does not create a new substantive right after the underlying deadline has already expired, and it does not change deadlines imposed solely by a third party outside GetClinic's control; GetClinic will nevertheless use reasonable efforts to relay the request promptly.

Accessibility assistance does not change the Clinic's independent responsibility for healthcare, clinical decisions, clinical consent or provider-side accommodations.

9. How to Report an Accessibility Problem

Please contact GetClinic if you:

  • cannot access or understand part of the patient website or app;
  • cannot complete a GetClinic-controlled form, Booking, cancellation, payment, refund, complaint or rights workflow using assistive technology;
  • find an image, control, document, video or error message that is not accessible;
  • need GetClinic-controlled information in a different accessible format; or
  • want to suggest an accessibility improvement.

Email [email protected] and use the subject line "Accessibility" where possible. Please identify the page, screen or feature involved, describe the barrier, and tell us what format or adjustment would help. If you are making a deadline-sensitive request, state the action you want taken (for example, "I cancel Booking [ID]") so the deemed-timely rule can be applied.

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or provide medical records simply to report an accessibility issue. Do not send sensitive health information through ordinary accessibility email unless it is necessary and GetClinic has directed you to an appropriate secure channel.

GetClinic aims to acknowledge accessibility reports within two (2) business days and to provide a substantive response, workaround or status update within fifteen (15) business days where reasonably practicable. A deadline-sensitive cancellation, refund, complaint or rights request is not postponed until that acknowledgement; its receipt time is determined under Section 8.

10. Testing and Improvement

GetClinic's accessibility review approach may include a combination of:

  • automated accessibility checks;
  • manual keyboard-only testing;
  • screen-reader and semantic-structure checks;
  • zoom, reflow, contrast and text-spacing review;
  • mobile accessibility review;
  • form, error-state and transaction-flow testing;
  • review of significant third-party components; and
  • testing with people who use assistive technologies where reasonably practicable.

Automated testing alone cannot establish full accessibility. GetClinic therefore treats automated tools as one part of the review process rather than proof of conformance.

When a formal audit is completed, this Statement should be updated with the assessment date, scope, method, conformance result, known material limitations and remediation status.

11. Accessibility in Product Development

GetClinic's goal is to consider accessibility during design, development, content production, procurement and release review. Material defects should be prioritized based on the severity of the barrier, importance of the affected Patient task, financial or rights impact, number of users affected, technical feasibility, security and legal requirements.

Accessibility overlays or widgets, if ever used for a supplemental function, are not treated as a substitute for making the underlying product and content accessible.

Deadline-sensitive and money-bearing workflows - including cancellation, refund, payment, Booking reconfirmation, complaint and privacy/consumer-health-data rights routes - should receive heightened accessibility testing because a barrier can directly affect Patient rights or money.

12. European Accessibility Act Information and Applicability

For services within the scope of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and applicable national implementing law, service providers may be required to explain how the service meets applicable accessibility requirements and make that information publicly available in an accessible form. This Statement is intended to serve as the equivalent public accessibility document for GetClinic's patient-facing service where legally appropriate.

The European Accessibility Act includes an exemption for qualifying microenterprises providing services. GetClinic does not claim that exemption in this Statement. Applicability and any exemption must be assessed and documented separately using current employee and financial information and the law applicable to the relevant EU service/market.

Where the European Accessibility Act applies, GetClinic will maintain the accessibility information required for the service for as long as the service is in operation and will provide an accessible oral explanation of this information on request through an available support/communication channel where required.

This Statement should be linked from the Patient legal/accessibility surface and, at the next controlled Patient Terms version, named in the Patient Marketplace Terms of Service so Patients can readily find it.

13. Complaints and Escalation

If you are not satisfied with GetClinic's response to an accessibility report, you may ask for escalation through [email protected]. You may also contact [email protected] for a formal legal accessibility complaint.

Depending on where you live and which service you use, you may have a right to complain to a court, regulator, equality body, consumer authority, accessibility authority or other competent body. Nothing in this Statement requires you to give up a mandatory complaint or enforcement right.

14. Review and Updates

GetClinic will review this Statement periodically and after material accessibility audits, major redesigns, material third-party integration changes or significant changes to patient-facing services. We aim to review the Statement at least annually while the applicable service remains live.

A new version may update accessibility status, known limitations, testing information, contact routes or remediation commitments. Because this Statement is informational rather than a Patient contract, GetClinic may update it without requiring Patient acceptance, subject to mandatory law and the rule that accrued Patient rights are not reduced by a later statement change.
