DHI vs FUE: which is right for you?

DHI is FUE with a different delivery: implanter pens place grafts directly, skipping pre-made incisions.

How DHI works

In DHI, extracted grafts are loaded into a Choi implanter pen that makes the incision and places the graft in one motion — finer control of angle and density, popular for hairline work and unshaven procedures.

How FUE works

Classic FUE extracts follicular units and implants them into pre-made micro-incisions. It is faster for large sessions, which is why mega-sessions and crown work usually run FUE.

Which to choose

Hairline finesse, lower graft counts, unshaven preference → DHI. Large areas and maximum grafts per session → FUE. The operator's skill matters far more than the acronym.

Prices abroad

Accredited clinics abroad typically price both options 50–70% below Western European and UK rates, all-inclusive. Compare written quotes for both on GetClinic and discuss suitability in a free video consultation before booking either.
