Most patients fly home on day 3 or 4. Office work with a hat is fine after day 10; client-facing work most patients delay until day 14. Final result settles between months 9 and 12.
Surgeon reviews front, side and three-quarter photos. Digital morphing shared so you confirm the aesthetic direction before you travel.
Blood panel, ECG and anaesthesia assessment at the clinic. Final surgical plan confirmed and consent signed.
General anaesthesia. Open approach via a small columella incision, or closed via the nostrils. Bone, cartilage and soft tissue sculpted to plan. Approx. 2–3 hours.
Splint applied, nasal packs in place if septum was corrected. Overnight monitoring at the clinic or partner hotel with nursing check-ins.
Periorbital bruising and oedema are expected and normal. Head kept elevated. Cold compresses as directed.
Surgeon removes the external splint and any internal sutures. First clear look at the new shape. Bruising largely resolved.
Cleared for travel once swelling is stable and surgeon approves. Cabin pressure is safe at this stage.
Video call. Most tip swelling (the last to go) has resolved. Photos compared to day-0 baseline.
Full resolution of deep tissue swelling. Definitive result photographed and compared to the pre-op digital plan.
Plan for around 7-10 days so the splint can be removed before you fly.
Light activity after 2-3 weeks; strenuous exercise after about 6 weeks.
Closed rhinoplasty leaves no external scar; open rhinoplasty leaves a tiny, well-hidden scar on the columella.
