Most patients fly home on day 3 or 4. Office work with a hat is fine after day 10; client-facing work most patients delay until day 14. Final result settles between months 9 and 12.

Skin and muscle tightened under anaesthesia; a supportive neck dressing is applied.
Day 1
Swelling and tightness are normal; the head is kept elevated.
Day 7
Sutures often removed; bruising fades and flying is usually advised a little later.
Week 2
Most bruising resolves and social downtime ends.

Resume full exercise as swelling continues to settle.
